The exact rhythm follows the group and weather, but the visit is built around these three parts.

Arrival and forest transfer
Meet at Pappilantie 1, receive winter outerwear and ride to the park in a snowmobile-pulled sleigh under reindeer hides.
Reindeer and lake activities
Feed the reindeer, take a short lead walk and try skating, kicksledding, sledding and e-bikes as conditions allow.
Campfire, sauna and the northern sky
Enjoy campfire snacks and warm drinks, then use the included sauna and ice bath while watching the sky. Aurora sightings depend entirely on natural conditions.

Lupland Aurora Activity Park is a three-hour evening winter experience at Lupland's private lakeside activity park by a quiet wilderness lake in Ranua, reserved for Lupland guests only.

Guests travel to the park in a snowmobile-pulled sleigh, sitting warm under reindeer hides as the route leads through the forest.

Can you guarantee the Northern Lights?

No. The park has a peaceful, dark setting for watching the northern sky, but aurora activity and cloud cover are natural conditions that cannot be guaranteed.

Is the sauna included in the €159 price?

Yes. The sauna and ice bath are included in the €159 price. Bring your own swimsuit; changing and drying off take place in a warm cabin.

What time does the evening start?

The scheduled departure is at 18:00. Weather conditions may move it to any time between 17:00 and 19:00; if it changes, the new time is confirmed by 16:00.

What time does the daytime activity start?

The scheduled start times are 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00. Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before your departure.

Where do we meet, and is transport included?

Meet at Arctic Guesthouse & Igloos / Lupland Adventures, Pappilantie 1, 97700 Ranua, 15 minutes before the start. The sleigh transfer from the meeting point to the park is included. Pickup can be arranged in advance from Ranua Resort Arctic Igloos reception or Ranua Resort Safari House.

What clothing is provided?

Winter outerwear is provided for the activity. Dress in warm base layers suitable for the day’s conditions and bring a swimsuit for the included sauna and ice bath.

Is the activity suitable for children and beginners?

The program is designed for families and first-time visitors. Follow the guide’s instructions throughout the visit; the guide may adjust activities to protect guests and the reindeer. Check the booking options for any participant-specific restrictions.

What happens if the weather or ice conditions change?

The guide may change the order, route or individual lake activities for safety. The core three-hour program continues whenever conditions allow.
